You’re the One to do Greater Works!

Discussion Question #1 from From Here …By Faith Chapter 2

1. Do you think Jesus was talking about you when He said you would do works and even greater works?

… Jesus …begins to speak to a larger audience when He says:  

“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.” John 14:12  

It’s You! You’re the one Jesus was talking to the He said in John 14 that “you would do even greater works than these!”

How do you know it’s you? Are you one who believes in Him? If so, then You’re the ‘he’ Jesus is speaking to!

I think it’s hard to grasp. Who am I that I should dare to think I would do any works, let alone greater works than the works of Jesus?

Another good question might be, who do you become when you choose to believe in Christ? The answer to this question is found in many places n the Bible.

Of course, of yourself, from your own resource you can’t do anything like Christ did when it comes to ‘works.’ But having believed, you are now His child and through this relationship you have the right, power and authority to these works.

It’s interesting, isn't it, that when we have an answer to one question, we immediately are confronted with onther questions and another and another.
