Paul’s Prayer for You!

Note:

If you want to have a full understanding of this passage, read it in its entirety from Ephesians 1:15 through Ephesians 2:10. I recommend you put this entire passage on your list of frequently read passages. It contains some of the most encouraging words Paul wrote any church he was in correspondence with, and of course, it applies to us as well.

Allow me to give you just a little of taste of Paul’s prayer for you.  Look at Paul’s language in his letter to the Ephesians.   While he spends plenty of words being a bit terse in his exhortations, this passage beginning with Chapter 1 and ending with chapter 3 in it’s entirety is one long prayer with a couple of rabbit trails.

In Ch 1 & 2, his language is beautiful and majestic, even expansive in how he speaks of what we have in Christ. We can know Paul’s prayer is for us and not just the Ephesians of the time because we rely on Ephesians 2:8 as an instruction in how it is that we can come to be saved. Paul’s salvation, the Ephesian’s salvation, and in this day and time wherever you are, your salvation is the gift of God.

God gives us this gift of salvation because of HIs amazing grace, astonishing love and everlasting mercy!

See how Paul talks to the Ephesians throughout the first few chapters of Ephesians. See and hear the words he uses to talk to you about God and your salvation. Come to believe that you, by faith, are part of His Kingdom!

Everything you read in these three chapters is for you. By placing your faith in Christ, you belong.  Paul is writing these prayers with an understanding that you already know you belong in and to the Lord, blending in and to His kingdom.

Allow me to encourage you today.  If you are a believer you belong.  And simply by walking into the doors of the Kingdom all of what Paul is praying is already yours!

We have works to do and we’re going to need faith to do them!

We have works to do and we’re going to need faith to do them!
