Relationship with God

A reading of Hebrews 11 reveals a number of “Faith Hall of Fame” characters. Abraham, Moses, and David among them. Take a minute to examine the lives of these characters and one thing I think you’ll see is that they knew God. They had relationship with Him. They heard Him when He spoke, and they were obedient to do what He asked them to do. Here’s what is interesting about this. As they grew in relationship with Him, they also grew in faith.

Here’s what I mean:

The outcome of growth in your relationship with Him is growth of your faith in Him.

And

The outcome of growth of your faith in Him is growth of your relationship with Him.

Once you examine enough scriptures to believe that you, indeed, are part of His Kingdom, you will see that, by grace through faith, you belong (Ephesians 2:8).

I believe, too, that when you examine these same scriptures, you’ll see that by choosing to place your faith in Christ, the only outcome can be that you instantaneously and automatically  belong in and to the Lord and in and to His Kingdom!

We have works to do and we’re going to need faith to do them!
