Right of Relationship - Lord

As you’ve followed these blogs you might understand our purpose, which is to establish a foundation in relationship with God from which we can ask questions of Him.

Many times, when we think about how God loves us, we rightly think that God loves us no matter what. God does love us no matter what.

His rightful place in our hearts doesn’t begin and end as savior, though.  His rightful place in our hearts is not just Savior; it is also Lord.

This is what the Lord told the Hebrews in Deuteronomy:

“Now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require from you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and love Him… Deuteronomy 10:12

Paul continually refers to the Lordship of Christ throughout his epistles:

…He who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone possesses immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see. To Him be honor and eternal dominion! Amen.  1 Timothy 6:15-16

As you might imagine, it can be hard to put together a concept that indicates God is Love with another concept that indicates we should fear the Lord.

We’ll talk about this problem in our next blog!

We have works to do and we’re going to need faith to do them!
