Adopted Into His Family

There are an amazing number of verses and passages in the Bible that indicate the status or nature of your relationship with God. And all of them are about you, and all of them are yours by faith.  

By faith you are adopted as a son or daughter of God. By faith you are no longer a slave to fear.  Over the next couple of weeks we’ll examine the relationships with God Paul identified: adopted son or daughter, one of His people, sons of God, a child of God. We’ take a moment to talk about your relationship with God as an adopted son or daughter.

Romans 8:14-15  

For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!”

By faith you are adopted as a son or daughter of God. By faith you are no longer a slave to fear.  
See these verses to get a better understanding of what you’ve been given when you place your faith in Christ:

John 1:12 - the right to become children of God; Ephesians 1:5 - adoption os sons …according to the kind intention of HIs will; Galatians 4:7 …no longer a slave, but a son…; 1 John 3:1 - …that we would be called children of God.

We have works to do and we’re going to need faith to do them!
