Jesus is Part of Us

…And we are part of HIm.

Note in these verses (Ephesians 2: 4-7) how inclusive the language is. God made us alive with Christ, raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him.   

He is Part of Us …

He is part of us, and we are part of Him. We belong.  In the church, in His Kingdom, in His heart, in His Body. We belong with Him and to Him even as He belongs to us. We are in Christ  (See Galatians 2:20).  

Ephesians 2:10

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.”    

Here, in verse 10, Paul notes a couple of things that are easy to overlook when you don’t take the time to pause and consider. I think this is one of the grandest statements in Scripture. In one simple sentence, Paul is teaching that God has a plan for you. He has something for you to do. And that something He has for you to do will advance His kingdom!  

If I was you, I might be thinking about those works. What are those works He has for me to do? In fact, I might even be asking another question. What are works? What constitutes action that you can take that qualifies as a work? Where do you get that information? Are there other sources for this information? How are you supposed to know what you are supposed to do?  

We have works to do and we’re going to need faith to do them!
