Peace to You This Christmas!
Donna and I have been married 38 years and we’re spending Christmas by ourselves for the first time.
We had big plans, the last Christmas in our home of nearly 30n years before we move to Florida next year. But Donna took a fall and ended up having shoulder surgery last week. As we anticipated the problems she would have decorating the house and the pain of the surgery we asked the kids to stay home and spend Christmas with friends and family instead of coming home. It’s a good thing, too. Donna;’s recovery has been rougher than we expected.
So, here we are on Christmas Daytime waiting to FaceTime with the kids and make a Christmas Dinner for two. There will be leftovers!
We’re happy. We have each other. We have family. We are looking forward to the adventures waiting for us as we move to Florida.
We’re thankful for God’s love and mercy and grace in our life and lives.
We have peace because a long time ago on a start filled night with angels singing and cattle lowing a baby was born.
And God said, Let there be peace on earth and good will toward men as He presented to us all the Prince of Peace.
Whether you’re alone or with family we wish you a Merry Christmas and Peace in the coming new year.
