Your Sense of Belonging Grows

It occurred to me that many, including me, don’t really know how deep this sense of belonging in and to The Lord and His Kingdom is until we walk through an experience that feels like we’ve lost the connection, the ‘belongingness.’

I think this is because your sense of belonging grows, in some ways, a bit like the way a tree grows. An oak tree doesn’t magically appear as a giant tree so big you can’t wrap your arms around it. It starts as a seed, a root. It becomes a sapling. It survives the deer, the drought, the fire. It takes in water and nourishment from the soil it is rooted in. If you pass it in the woods, you might not even see it for several years. And then, it’s fall and the leaves are turning color. As you near it, you see the leaves; You see the tree in all its glory.  It means more than you are aware of right now to belong in and to His Kingdom!

We have works to do and we’re going to need faith to do them!
