What Do You Believe? Continued

What do you believe that makes you a Christian? What is the value in knowing the Apostle’s Creed?

Because I believe in Him, I have relationship with Him (from our most recent blog). We continued withy this statement:

“The Apostles’ Creed sets forth the essential principles that Christians believe. It sums up what you believe that makes you a Christian. It is your belief in these statements that makes you a believer. …The Creed made it easy for people who couldn’t read to cite what they believed so they could compare it to some of the teachings of the day and know whether a teacher, pastor or priest was properly teaching about Christ.”

The value in knowing this Creed today is to identify the main principles Christians of all denominations agree are the foundation of faith in Christ.  

Belief in these principles is the beginning of discovering that by faith, you belong to Him and to His House.  

We have works to do and we’re going to need faith to do them
