What Is It That We Belong to?

All this talk of belonging might beg the question, what is it you belong to? As a believer in Christ, you belong in and to the Kingdom of Heaven! The phraseology is so simple. You belong to something. That’s awesome! Can you tell what the Kingdom of Heaven is? What do you have access to as a member of this Kingdom? What does it feel like -to you - that you belong to the Kingdom of Heaven?

Take some time and look at Paul’s letter to the Ephesians, chapters 1-3. These chapters contain within them an almost symphonic or orchestral description of what you belong to according to Paul.

We, having accepted His invitation, are the objects of His love! He has lavish gifts for us through Jesus Christ! We have redemption and forgiveness and the riches of His grace. We have come to know the mystery His purpose in Christ. We have obtained an inheritance and been sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise!

This all comes from only the first few verses of Ephesians 1.

It means more than you are aware of right now to belong in and to His Kingdom!

We have works to do and we’re going to need faith to do them!
