What Is It That We Belong to? Continued
In our most recent blog we took a bit of a rabbit trail in order to give a bit of context to what will follow as we continue posting blogs from the bool, “From Here …By Faith,” by Lenny Ouradnik, we encouraged to read through Ephesians chapters 1-3. The purpose for reading this passage is to help you grasp the enormous and wonderful things God has for you in His Kingdom. You belong to this Kingdom now! We’ll continue our look at this passage for answers to the question, “What is it you belong to?”
According to Him, you are blameless and holy before Him. His kindness toward you has brought to you this sense of belonging in His Kingdom through your faith in Christ. And not just a sense but a reality. I have read this passage from Ephesians at least 100 times. It was only as I began to write this book and looked at what the Father planned for me that I could see the amazing depth to which He has called you and me to belong. My purpose in this chapter is to convey to you the amazing plan He has for you and me to belong with Him and to Him such that we know Him in a way, like Christ, that enables us to hear Him so we can complete the works He has created in advance for you and me to do. I am chosen. I am adopted. And by extension, I belong to Him and Him to me. I have a home in His Kingdom. And if this applies to me, it must also apply to you. You are chosen. You are adopted. You belong to Him, and Him to you. You have a home in His Kingdom.
It means more than you are aware of right now to belong in and to His Kingdom!
We have works to do and we’re going to need faith to do them!
