Bitter Results pt.1
Once upon a time there were two sisters born 12 years apart. Being so born far apart, they really never grew close. They both went to college and they both married, Carol to John and Alice to Ralph.
In the early years of their marriage, Alice and Ralph would see Carol and John at the lake home of the girls’ parents. For the most part, they seemed to get along, and yet there was always an undercurrent of tension between them. As life continued for the sisters, they grew further apart and eventually through little offense after little offense, they became quite angry with each other. The amount of time they spent together dwindled to once every few years, when situations demanded that they had to be together. Then their mother passed away, their father having passed several years before. So came the straw that broke the camel’s back
As they began to go through their mother’s things, there was the great offense. Carol and John said Alice and Ralph were not raising their children very well. This comment, of course, was received poorly. The relationship became even more difficult and the next thing anyone knew, they were no longer on speaking terms.
